I have not worked out in a while. Are there entry level classes?
ALL out classes are designed to cater to individuals with varied backgrounds and athletic abilities. You will be encouraged to go at your own pace and with the help of our certified instructors you will begin to push yourself to excel and achieve results you never dreamed possible. If you get winded, step out, catch your breath and jump right back in at any time.
What if I have a pre-existing condition, injury or health concern?

Our qualified staff will help guide you in a direction that will allow you to work around your limitations without compromising your visual goals. Additionally, we will offer suggestion for your individual concerns so that we can work together to keep you positive, focused on your goals and moving in a forward direction.
I don't really like group activities but really want to learn Self Defense and/or Fighting Skills?
ASD offers personal training packages (one-on-one) for individuals who have specific needs or demands for time. Our Personal Training Packages are not only great in this respect but allows current members to advance more rapidly in their skills and is recommended for persons with a past history of assault and domestic violence. All information is strictly confidential.
I often lose interest in my fitness endeavors and give up. Any suggestions?
ASD instructors design a NEW class routine for each and every class. The classes are always different from the previous class - fun, upbeat, fast-paced, and a refreshing change from any classes you may have taken in the past. ASD offers Boxing, Submission Wrestling, MMA, and several types of Fitness and Self-Defense classes. Students are encouraged to cross train to improve skills, knowledge, and technique. We offer everything under one roof so there is no reason, for anybody, to ever get bored.
What if I just want to lose weight, tone and learn some Self-Defense?
Our classes are unmatched for their ability to get you in the best shape...FAST! ASD classes incorporate different moves, training equipment, conditioning drills, techniques, and core training to give our students a complete and full-body workout regardless if you are taking Fitness or Self-Defense. Because classes are never the same, a person's body will never adjust to the stresses placed upon it, which means the body will consistently improve. The problem with other types of training is that the body is such a fine tuned machine that it adjusts quickly and people stop seeing the results unless they do something different to alter their training. We take the complication out of that question. Attend our classes and achieve the most modern Self Defense techniques available and get in the best shape of your life. If you're not achieving results from out classes, you're not attending.
Do I need previous experience in Martial Arts or other systems to attend your classes?
ASD classes break down the information and training techniques to accommodate people who have little to no previous experience in any type of martial art, self defense or fighting system. Because individuals train at their own pace, each person will advance at a different rate. These classes are geared towards personal achievement rather then a group sport. Even seasoned practitioners enjoy our classes and achieve a great benefit because they have the ability to set their own pace due to the versatility of the classes.
Is this an age specific or gender specific training center?
ASD has members ranging from 16-70 with the 30-40 age group making up approximately 60% of our members. Our Fitness Classes are generally 80/20 female to male. Self Defense Classes are 50/50, Boxing is 50/50 to 60/40 men to women. Submission Wrestling tends to be a male dominated class at around 80/20 men to women, who are encouraged to bring their own partner to class.
