ASD teaches students practical self defense based upon real world threats.
ASD teaches our programs with a military survival mindset, eliminate the danger quickly (self defense technique) followed by overwhelming strikes (combatives) so that you can escape to a safe place. Our classes are very educational while still keeping a fun & upbeat environment. Students not only learn how to defend against a variety of the most common types of street attacks but additionally learn (combatives) how to fight using Punches, Kicks, Elbows, Knees and more. Self Defense techniques help eliminate the immediate threat but the combatives help ward off any further attacks. An example of Self Defense would be removing the attackers hands from around your throat or dissolving a punch that is heading towards your face. An example of a combative would be the knee delivered to a vulnerable area during the choke defense or an elbow to a vulnerable area while dissolving the punch.
