Boxing has held a very respectful reputation with Americans for a very long time. Not only does Boxing help students achieve great conditioning but it helps instill a sense of security in knowing they can go toe-to-toe should a confrontation present itself. Classes incorporate heavy bags, hand-held bags, ply-metrics and jump ropes.

The Boxing classes at Austin Self Defense are extremely informative, hands on, fun, upbeat, and open to both men and women, ages 16 and up. There should be no concerns regarding age or fitness level as each individual will train and excel at their own pace.

These classes are outstanding for average adults seeking to get back into a fitness regimen. If you are a stay at home mom, overworked & stressed, seeking some basic self defense or interested in pursuing a career in boxing, ASD classes WILL help you achieve your goal.

If you are interested in becoming an amateur or professional boxer, ASD Boxing classes will teach students the in & outs of amateur to professional boxing.

Light Sparring shall be at the request of the student and approved by the instructor. Instructors will take great care to team students up properly and to ensure that the sparing sessions stay controlled at all times.

Injuries:

Do Not allow injuries to hold you back from pursuing your goal. Not only will we help educate you on how to avoid injuries but we will teach you how to continue to train while working around your injuries. Additionally our qualified staff will offer rehab suggestions to speed recovery.
